OMG ARE YOU READY FOR THIS
This am at 5:30 we get a call that my sister was taken to emergency because she couldn't breath, so off we go to Kaiser in Vallejo.
It seems that she had a very sever asthma attach. After several treatments for breathing and 10 plus hours in emergency they were going to put her in a hospital room. As of now she will be in the hospital 2 - 5 days.
Between my Dufuss and my sister, 2008 is not starting off so great.
I have had 3 hours sleep and kind of numb, so I hope things will clam down.

Can't Concentrate
For some reason I can't concentrate tonight. As of Monday I'm back to my classes in art, and looking forward to being busy during the daytime.
Monica has given me a challenge, in that she only wants me to use only a certain 4 large brushes, clean out my pallet of unlawful paints, and leave a lot of white. I think she feels this will force me to using less detail in my work, it should be real interesting to see what happens.
I have a lot to do tomorrow. I seem to sluff off when it comes to completing jobs around the house, just don't have an interest in it.
Maria called the other day and told me to let her know when I wanted to get my dog, don't know when that will happen.
See what I mean, I'm all over the place with my thoughts. Think I need to get lost in a TV show or a book.
That's it for today.

Yesterday was Better
Yesterday was much better for me, Jim and I went and picked up our cat at the hospital. I had her cremated, and when they brought me the little carved box with her name on it, it somehow eased that pain that I have had in my heart.
She is now resting in our bedroom, in a spot that she loved being on (the counter top) when I would get up in the morning and prepare myself for the day.
It seems odd that a small little box with her ashes in it can help heal me, but it does and I'm thankful for that !!!

How 2008 Started For Us
We were lucky to have our first overnight er with Corbin on 12/31/08. Papa and I did a great job making sure that Corbin was fed, changed, held, and loved while being with us. His parents came to pick him up on 1/1/08 and was pleased to see that he was in good shape as when they dropped him off.
During the late afternoon and early evening I noticed that our cat was not herself. She was hiding under things, and I realized that she was not feeling well at all. Then I noticed in the hall that she urinated, which is one thing she never does, and an indication that we have a problem. Took her to the Bay Area Emergency Hospital , and the bottom line was that her diabetes was shutting down her kidney function.
Well unfortunately I had to put her down, you have no idea how painful that was for me. On the way home I just couldn't believe what I had just done. She would no longer be a part of our lives, it was just so very painful.
